Montessori Classrooms

Montessori classrooms are designed for a three year age mix to allow for both individual and social development. The older children help those new to the group, teaching what they, themselves have learned, thereby elevating their own understanding of the concepts in question. Each child's unique personality is respected; each child is accepted as an important member of a community.

If, as occurs in the Montessori classrooms, the joy of learning is encouraged, and social and intellectual disciplines are allowed to develop naturally a solid foundation is laid for a happy, productive life. The children's appreciation for their world flourishes as they become responsible human beings and active members of a harmonious society.
